The Forest Town Board would like to provide an update regarding the operation and maintenance services for the Township’s Subordinate Sewer Districts (SSDs).
At a duly noticed Special Meeting on July 21, 2026, the Forest Town Board voted to provide the required 30-day notice of termination to its current service contract provider. The current contract will remain in effect during the 30-day notice period to help ensure continuity of service while the Township transitions to a new provider.
The Board is currently soliciting quotes from qualified service providers to assume responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the Township’s SSDs. The Board will review the proposals received, make a recommendation, and consider awarding a new service on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Depending on the quotes received, the potential service provider(s) may attend the meeting.
Residents of the Township’s Subordinate Sewer Districts are encouraged to attend the August 4 meeting to stay informed about the transition process and the Board’s selection of a new service provider. Public participation is welcome, and the Board values your interest in the continued operation and long-term success of these systems.
The Township remains committed to ensuring reliable operation of the sewer systems and improving communication, accountability, and service expectations with the future contractor.
Thank you for your patience and continued support as we work through this transition. If you have questions, please email foresttwpclerk@gmail.com.
